Your OEM SAAB ignition wires are of the resistor/carbon type which were chosen for their ability to reduce radio interference and, of course, the low cost…they are not, however, going to deliver optimum spark when your engine requires it. For years there have been several upgrade wire manufacturers touting their products low resistance and hot spark ability. Although they may have been able to prove that they work on some cars, your SAAB may have a breakerless/hall effect ignition system that can actually receive interference from such wires. SWEDISH DYNAMICS has tested several of these so-called Super Wires on SAAB automobiles with disappointing results. Usually we find that they do more harm than good and, in some cases, with turbo charged vehicles, we lost 5-6 psi boost due to ignition/hall effect interference being delivered to the engine's APC system. The Magnecor wire will give the advantages of low resistance without interference to the electronic engine management system. This means full boost with no fluctuation or limitation due to EMI disturbances at the APC control signal. Magnecor engineering came up with an EMI suppressed conductor within the 8mm-diameter silicone housing and the end result is a wire that can deliver more coil energy without interfering with engine electronics. We feel that these wires are the absolute best for Saab applications and, due to the fact that these are not a carbon/degrading type, they will last a lifetime.
