| SPECIAL: High Pressure BOSCH Turbo Bypass Valve. That small plastic hooter valve on your turbo's intake ducting reduces lag by eliminating pressure build against the engines throttle body in between shifts. The early OEM valves (Bosch with last 3 digits 102, 103, 104) are designed to work at lower boost pressures but will actually allow for pressurebleed when targeting higher boost levels(15 psi+)...this means a loss in overall turbo performance! Furthermore, we find that after a few years of use, a majority of these OEM valves have ruptured diaphragms (if you can blow through the vac/pressure hose leading to/into the valve, the diaphragm is ruptured) and this not only renders the component useless but allows for an additional escape path for the turbo's intake manifold pressure.
Our upgrade Bosch bypass valve is the same used for increased output Porsche 911/930 and Saab Viggen applications and is capable of supporting higher boost pressures while being an exact retrofit in place of the weak Saab OEM valve.
