| Our intake kit works well on all 16 Valve 900 series from 1985 to 1993 + '94 convertible, 9000 turbo from 1986-1989, and 2.3 liter 9000 and 9000 turbo from 1991-1997.
The OEM air filter on the SAAB 900 is complex and restrictive. It looks clean under the hood but doesn't allow the engine to fully access the air that it's laboring to draw in. The next time you open the hood, take a look at your intake system. You'll note that the air being drawn in will need to take a few twists and turns before entering your air mass meter and the filter element, although large enough, is not the best thing going to reduce intake restrictions.
A SWEDISH DYNAMICS intake upgrade will allow your engine to draw air more efficiently. It eliminates all of the complex plastic ducting/hardware and simply clamps to the factory air mass meter or induction plumbing.…our specially designed hardware kit will allow installation without any modifications (1993+ 9000 models will require some minor mount alterations) . Our filter elements are some of the least restrictive on the market and are completely reusable for a lifetime… We even applies an unlimited warranty to these elements and a wash and re-oil about once a year is all that's required for servicing. When using our kit, performance is enhanced at the upper rpm scale and the hp increases may be as high as 6hp depending on additional modifications. The already potent 2.3L 9000 turbo, for example, gains a few additional hp over stock when implementing this simple upgrade.
