| This system will update and replace everything behind the catalytic converter on the 1984-1993 (and 1994 convert.) turbo 900.
We produce this as a complete mild steel system that will include the following components:
- Performance louver core performance muffler
- Tailpipe
- 4 bolt intermeditate pipe
- Complete hardware installation kit
Installation is a simple matter of replacing the factory system from behind the OEM catalytic converter and the reduction in exhaust restrictions will provide a 7-11 bhp gain to the 2.0 liter turbo engines!
A less restrictive exhaust system goes a long way in helping an engine run more efficiently…the more efficiency, the greater the ability to extract power from your SAAB. The factory SAAB exhaust system will do wonders in keeping the car quiet but they are lacking in efficiency. This means more exhaust backpressure and, in most circumstances, less engine performance. If you have already gone through other upgrades on the intake side (APC, Cylinder head, etc) the greater the need to extract more exhaust. In short, the more air you move in, the more exhaust created that needs to come out.
Most aftermarket performance exhaust systems are a disappointment. We normally see a very short life to them and, in some cases, the welded-on chrome tips begin to rust after only a short few months.
Our SWEDISH DYNAMICS Exhaust Systems where designed to reduce backpressure and provide a greater life expectancy. Both turbo and non-turbo systems incorporate a less restrictive glass pack louver core muffler to enable horsepower gains of up to 15%. All pipes are of aluminized 14-gauge steel and will easily outlast a stock system.
To reduce the end user price, all stage 1 systems come as muffler/tailpipe assemblies only* and do not include tail pipe ends/tips which will allow the user to choose and install a tip of his/her own liking.
